Dheniz Rodriguez

Born in Manila Philippines on August 1985, at the age of 14 Dheniz started playing drums and took private drum lessons, he joined his first school band called "Psychotic Fusion". In year 2000 Dheniz left his first band and formed "Tinderbox", a hardcore/ new metal based band covering songs from our local hardcore bands and foreign artist such as Slipknot, Mudvayne, etc, they played at schools and local underground gigs. A few years later Dheniz got recruited by two well known musicians to form a death metal band with some technical elements, that day the "Nocturnal Insanity" was formed and they started creating their own compositions based on their music influence from thrash, grind, and black, progressive to death metal genre. Dheniz also does drum sessions that time to the following bands "Biyaheng Langit, Rsgd, Hateration and Placid". In a few years later the “Tinderbox” got disbanded and also same with the “Nocturnal Insanity's” vocalist left the band. The band still continued on even without a vocalist, they revised and made new instrumental compositions to set the band into a new level, they experimented metal and added some progressive concepts like jazz, blues, ballad, latin, fusion and so on. Dheniz is more open to different kinds of music but he wanted something more. In May 2006 Dheniz created the "Ghost Note South Community (GNSC)" in Laspinas with the help of his friends who also were drummers, GNSC is a community that consists of drummers of all kinds of genres, the members reach over 50 solid drummers each individual to learn and share their bright ideas for free and limited. Dheniz also became a freelance drum instructor and started giving private drum lessons in Alabang, Laspinas and Cavite area. In December 2006 he joined the band "Pieces of Jane" an alternative/ pop/ rock band. In February 2008 “Pieces of Jane” signed a contract to "Tao at Kalikasan" a non-government organization which helps on the conservation of our environment, they released their album which is a compilation of various artists, of which “Pieces of Jane” was one of them. The band was also featured on TV, radio, major big events and gigs. Today Dheniz continues enjoying his adventure on being a practitioner of the drums.
